On Wednesday, November 9, H2M architects + engineers celebrated its arrival in the Troy, NY, community with an open house. They welcomed colleagues, friends, clients, future clients, and local political dignitaries, including the Mayor of Troy, Patrick Madden, into the new office space overlooking the Hudson River.
Katrina Pacheco, AIA, Office Director at H2M, kicked off the event with a warm welcome and thank you to those in attendance. She shared her perspective on why H2M moved to Troy, explaining that its presence in this community will provide the company with ample opportunities to best serve its current and potential clients, along with a renewed focus on relationships with its neighbors through involvement with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Joseph’s House & Shelter, the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce, and so many more local organizations. H2M selected the City of Troy not just for an enhanced presence in the Capital Region of New York State, but also to provide a better quality of life for its employees. The new office location is in a walkable city, with several employees now walking to work, and a great variety of meal and cultural resource options just outside the door. This helps to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and support the many small businesses within the community.
