MARLBOROUGH, MA — RedLine Gear Cleaning, a privately held cleaning service specializing in on-site decontamination of firefighter gear and equipment has experienced staggering growth in the past 12 months and is executing its first major national expansion.
The new Texas location marks the first major expansion outside of the Northeast for RedLine Gear Cleaning and it’s first partner operated location.
“When looking at our expansion strategy, it was clear that we wanted to form a partnership with Decon7 Systems because like us, they are an industry leader and innovator. We are excited to partner with a company that shares our values and truly cares about the first responder community.” says Mike Matros, President of RedLine Gear Cleaning.
RedLine Gear Cleaning has become known throughout the fire service as a ‘high-tech mobile laundromat’, deploying its state-of-the-art Mobile Extraction Unit® (which acts as a fully self-contained decontamination station that can clean large amounts of firefighter turnout gear) directly at a fire station. Decon7 Systems will operate the fourth Mobile Extraction Unit® (MEU) in the country and service demand in Texas.
Decon7 Systems, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is the industry leader in manufacturing safe and effective decontamination solutions. Decon7 is the go-to decontamination agent for major government agencies and commercial decon applications in the food and beverage industry.
RedLine Gear Cleaning proudly uses Decon7 as a preferred decontamination agent when cleaning PPE and decontaminating workspaces. The partnership has formed very organically over the past months as RedLine Gear Cleaning has seen a surge in demand across the country and Decon7 Systems is continuously looking for innovative growth opportunities.
Mike Matros explains that “Fire departments and government agencies put a lot of trust in RedLine to properly handle and decontaminate their gear, because of this, we knew that in order to successfully expand our business we would have to do so in partnership with an already trusted brand like Decon7 Systems”
The two companies will be unveiling the new MEU at the Firehouse Expo in Columbus, Ohio on September 14th. After the official unveiling of the MEU, it will be located at the Decon7 Systems headquarters and deployed to provide NFPA 1851 verified cleanings to hundreds of fire departments across the Southwestern United States
