It’s that time of year when the ghosts and ghouls make themselves known, at least on retail shelves.
But if you’re more interested in busting than you are conjuring, Vacasa, the vacation rental management company, has just the listing for you. A lucky group of up to five people will be able to book a three-night stay at a “Ghostbusters” firehouse in Portland.
The three-story two-bedroom firehouse was built in the early 1900s and has been completely Ghostbustersafied. According to Vacasa’s press release the firehouse has all the comfort of home like a full kitchen, multiple living quarters as well as a scientist-approved ghost containment system and a dark room where guests can develop and analyze photos of the Scourge of Carpathia.

The vacation rental agency promises that all beds will be freshly made and ectoplasm has been expertly cleaned.
There will be all the gear you might been to send ghosts back to where they came from including: smoking ghost traps, a P.K.E. meter, proton packs, aura video-analyzer, and even an ecto-containment unit.
The listing has been visible since Oct. 12, and the Hunger Games-esque fight for the single listing will open at 10 a.m. PST Oct. 21. It will cost $19.84 (plus local taxes and fees) a night to commemorate the year the original ”Ghostbusters” film came out. Vacasa will make a donation to the Oregon Volunteer Firefighters Association to celebrate the stay. You can take a virtual tour here.
