Firefighters face many obstacles. Seeing shouldn’t be one of them. Nevertheless, many responders battle the dark, because their apparatus isn’t equipped with a light tower. Command Light, in conjunction with HiViz LED Lighting, introduced a cost-effective light fixture that’s exclusive to the light tower manufacturer, shaving the cost of a new light tower by 33 percent while delivering 14,000 lumens per fixture. The Helios can be specified on any Command Light series light tower and is designed for quartz halogen-to-LED retrofits.

Harrison Hydra-Gen
Harrison hydraulic generators can provide power for your truck while it is idling. Now, the hPower Idle Reduction System can do the same when your truck is off. The system provides power for all of your DC requirements while satisfying idle-mitigation regulations. It does this by seamlessly integrating with the apparatus chassis drivetrain system and electrical system. Fleets can reduce fuel costs, reduce excessive engine wear and scene noise, promote cleaner air for the environment and provide operators with cab comfort without running the vehicle’s engine.
Intelsat

The cart can be used in conjunction with OnScene Solutions’ other SafeTSystem components, including holder carriers, transport box and apparatus compartment base.
Petzl America
The development of the MAESTRO mechanical belay device expands Petzl’s rescue solution offerings. The device integrates a unidirectional progress capture pulley with a descender, which maximizes efficiency and limits the amount of equipment and users that are needed to access and evacuate casualties in vertical or confined-space environments. This all-in-one advantage makes the transfer between raising and lowering simple and rapid. A high-efficient pulley on sealed ball bearings provides improved hauling capability. Similar to the new I’D line, the MAESTRO’s AUTO-LOCK system is engaged automatically when the handle is released, requiring no action from the user.
Pierce Manufacturing

SVI Trucks
Expanding its lineup of fire apparatus, SVI Trucks added a Type 4 Wildland Engine to its pumper and tanker lineup. Unlike a Type 3 midship PTO-driven pump, the Type 4 pump is driven by its own engine, which is located at the rear of the apparatus (with single- or dual-door access to the pump’s components). Because the new vehicle is built on a 4 x 4 commercial chassis that includes spring-loaded bodies and pump modules, departments can specify single- or two-stage pumps with 250–1,500 gpm capabilities.
