A Broad River Fire & Rescue truck became stuck when part of a private bridge collapsed as the truck was crossing to a car fire threatening a structure.
Firefighters were responding to a reported car fire on Monday, while crossing a private bridge, the bridge decking collapsed under the truck, according to a Facebook post by Broad River Fire & Rescue.
Firefighters were able to shuttle 12 extinguishers and used a garden hose to extinguish the car fire and prevent extension to the nearby home and propane tank.
A local wrecker service was able to remove the trapped apparatus. The fire department said, they were able to get Engine 22 back on solid ground without any damages noticed.
