Bridgeport, CT, Fire Engine Collides with Vehicle

A civilian was injured but no Bridgeport firefighters were hurt in the wreck Tuesday afternoon.

 

Mar. 4—BRIDGEPORT — A driver was sent to the hospital after a collision with a firetruck, a Bridgeport spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon.

The collision happened at the corner of Myrtle and South avenues, Bridgeport Press Secretary Shawnna White said in a news release.

No firefighters were injured in the collision. The other vehicle's driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, White said.

Bridgeport police are investigating the crash, White said. No other details about how the crash occurred were immediately available.
