Professional Fire Fighters of NV Launch Memorial Website
LAS VEGAS – The Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada (PFFN) is pleased to announce the completion of their Nevada Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial website. The recently finished website features a search tool that allows visitors to look up and learn more about each of the men and women who lost their lives protecting their fellow Nevadans. In addition, there is information about the organization’s legacy members and the new memorial itself.
“We are excited to introduce our memorial website to the public,” said Angelo Aragon, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada. “The PFFN is working hard to bring this memorial to fruition, which will stand as a lasting tribute to the courageous first responders who have died in the line of duty and will be honored on the wall of the memorial as well as on this new site.”
In 2017, the Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada were recipients of land located on the grounds of the Capital Complex in Carson City. The purpose of this land is to construct a new fire fighter memorial to honor the 77 fire fighters who have died in the line of duty in the state of Nevada. Artist Austin Weishel has been commissioned to create five bronze fire fighter statues to represent various members of the fire service including wildland fire fighters. The PFFN broke ground on the new memorial site in May 2019.
