CA Firefighter Drives Fire Engine to Hook-Up With Teen, Gets Busted
A California firefighter who drove a fire engine to a hook-up, believing it was a teen-aged girl, has tendered his resignation.
Mark McGill Jr., 38, a U.S. Forest Service firefighter, assigned to the El Cariso Fire Station in Riverside County, was caught in the Fresno Police undercover sting operation, according to NBC San Diego.
When he arrived at the arranged location with the intent of having sex with the girl, he quickly learned the encounter wasn't what he had anticipated.
McGill's resignation from the agency was accepted, Cleveland National Forest Public Affairs Officer Nathan Judy said.
"The U.S. Forest Service is aware of an arrest that involved an employee and we are cooperating with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office in this matter," he told reporters.
McGill is out of jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
During Operation HOOK (Hands Off Our Kids), police pose as teens online to set up encounters.
