Firehouse's 2019 EVT of the Year Award was presented to Muskegon, MI, fire mechanic Brian Marek at the FDSOA Apparatus, Safety and Maintenance Conference.
Brian Marek began his career in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter at the age of 18. On Dec. 1, 2019 he retired as fire mechanic from the Muskegon, MI, Fire Department. He was named the 2019 EVT of the Year.
