NYC Responders Dodge Bullets Following Ambulance Collision

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- First responders were forced to duck for cover after suspects driving a car they collided with opened fire on them early this morning, according to WABC-TV.The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Audubon Avenue when their ambulance slid on an icy road, sending them into the vehicle that was allegedly fleeing a shooting in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Audubon Avenue when their ambulance slid on an icy road, sending them into the vehicle that was allegedly fleeing a shooting in the Washington Heights neighborhood.
The collision occurred shortly after a shooting occurred in front of a nearby store.
According to the report, the suspects jumped out of the car and fired more shots, causing the first responders to duck for cover.
One of the responders was taken to the hospital with a minor knee injury.
