Washington Blaze Damages Four Homes

Three of the four houses were occupied when firefighters arrived

NEAR FREDERICKSON, WA. --

Pierce county firefighters fought separate fires at four houses near Frederickson Saturday morning.

KIRO 7 reported that firefighters were called to the 20500 block of 85th Avenue Court East around 7 a.m.

The first arriving crews found flames and smoke shooting from one house, and immediately called for a second-alarm response.

Deputy Fire Chief Gary Franz told KIRO 7 that flames from the first house spread to a nearby house. Franz said that a total of four houses were damamged by flames.

Franz said that three of the four houses were occupied when firefighters arrived, but everyone got out safely.

Franz said that the cause of the fires is under investigation.
