STEVENS, Pa. --
A Lancaster County man died Tuesday morning in a fire in Stevens.
The blaze happened at about 7 a.m. in the 300 block of East Church Street .
Carl Mohler, 75, was found dead, officials said.
Neighbors said they noticed the flames, and at first did not know if Mohler was in his shop or if it was a controlled burn.
"It basically just looked like a regular fire at first. But it turned out to be a little bit more than that," said Keri Diem, a neighbor of Mohler's. "I noticed it was getting more and more out of control than what a regular barrel burn, or burn pile fire would be."
Neighbors said the building was a workshop where Mohler would work on cars, trucks and fiberglass.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
