Ohio Crews Rescue Teen from Blaze

A teenage girl is being treated for injuries after she was rescued from a burning Franklin Township home on Tuesday morning.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio --

A teenage girl is being treated for injuries after she was rescued from a burning Franklin Township home on Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out in the girl's bedroom at her Knollbrook Drive home shortly after 9 a.m.

Officials said the girl called 911, but the phone died shortly after connecting with dispatchers.

Firefighters found the girl passed out in her bed. She was transported to Atrium Medical Center for treatment. A teenage boy escaped from the basement unharmed.

A fire chief said the room where the girl was found was heavily damaged by fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
