SEATTLE, Wash. --
One Seattle firefighter was injured in an apartment fire Tuesday morning in South Seattle.
Seattle fire crews responded to a report of a fire in the 6500 block of Rainier Avenue South around 4:42 a.m.
Firefighters entered the three-story building as flames burned in at least one apartment unit, a fire deparment spokeswoman said.
At some point during the fire, a firefighter fell out of a window, falling approximately 10 feet.
The Seattle Fire Department said that the male firefighter was treated at the scene and was transported to Harborview Medical Center with neck and shoulder injuries.
An occupant of the apartment was burned on the hands. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, as well.
