Firefighter Injured in Cleveland Apartment Fire

There was no word on the firefighter's condition.

A Cleveland firefighter was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center after battling an east-side fire Friday morning.

The apartment fire broke out about 11 a.m. on Lee Road.

No other people were transported.

The firefighter is being treated for second-degree burns on his neck. The Red Cross is on the scene, helping the nine adults and seven children who now have no place to stay.

Damage is estimated at $75,000. There is no word on the cause.
