ARLINGTON, Va. -- An elderly woman is dead after an early morning apartment fire in Arlington.
The fire broke out around 5 a.m. in the 5500 block of Columbia Pike at the Windsor Tower Apartments. Residents of the building were evacuated at the time of the fire. All of residents except for those living on the 7th floor are being allowed back in.
The identity of the woman killed in the fire has not been released. Still no word on what may have caused the blaze.
Fire officials continue to investigate.
