A dozen firefighters ripped the roof off the car to get to trapped occupants.

Firefighters swarmed over a car involved in a collision with a truck in West Seattle Monday afternoon, cutting open the vehicle to get to people inside.

Video from Chopper 7 showed about a dozen firefighters ripping the roof off the car scrambling to get to the car’s occupants.

It took 15 firefighters several minutes to pull the driver out of the car.

An off duty firefighter and an EMT were the first at the scene. The two were able to keep the passenger, a woman, who was unconscious breathing by holding her airway open.

The collision between the car and a box truck happened at about 12:15 p.m. at Delridge Way and South Orchard Street.

The driver and passenger of the car, and driver of the truck were all taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
