The fire department in Saraland, Alabama may end up giving up all or part of their successful FIRE Act Grant award of $100,031 because the mayor and some city council members are concerned about future costs, unfunded in this award.
The grant, awarded in the Fire Prevention category in round eleven, according to the Saraland Fire Department will be used partially for a trailer designed to teach children and the elderly how to respond during fires or severe weather.
