Teresa Crisman Selected as the Recipient of the 2025 Dr. Anne W. Phillips Award
The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) and the International Fire Service Training Association/Fire Protection Publications/Oklahoma State University (IFSTA) are proud to announce that Teresa Crisman is the recipient of the 2025 CFSI/IFSTA Dr. Anne W. Phillips Award for Leadership in Fire Safety Education. The award recognizes individuals for outstanding lifetime achievements at the national level in fire safety education. The award presentation will be on February 13th at the 35th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner in Washington, DC, attended by 1,200 fire and emergency officials nationwide.
Crisman currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs – Community Risk Reduction in the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. For over 20 years, she was the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Prince George's County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department. Throughout her career in fire safety education, she has been engaged in numerous fire safety education programs at the local, state, and national levels.
