INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. --
A local firefighter killed while going to a false fire call will be buried later this week.
Investigators say Todd Hage, 43, lost control of the fire truck on Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road on Saturday and crashed into a tree.
Officials with the Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department said he was trying to get to New Town Elementary School, where a false alarm sounded.
A memorial service was held for Hage on Sunday. Visitation for the firefighter will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, which is on Fairview Road.
Following the ceremony, the funeral will be held at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services on Forest Lawn Drive in Matthews.

Also, a scholarship fund has been set up for Hage's daughters. Those wishing to contribute should contact Arborbrook Christian Academy at (704) 821-9952. The school is located at 4823 Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road in Matthews.
