A young firefighter from a small village in southern Wisconsin died earlier this month after a month-long battle against COVID-19.
The U.S. Fire Administration on Thursday announced that Pardeeville Fire Department firefighter Brandon Romo, who was only 32 years old, died of COVID complications on Nov. 6 after contracting the deadly virus a month earlier at a department fundraiser.
According to a Facebook post from the Pardeeville FD, Romo leaves behind his wife Justina, his son Jack, and two daughters Tealia and Vodika.
"Rest in peace Brandon, we'll take it from here," the post says. "Sending your family all our prayers, love and strength for your difficult days ahead."
