NEW WESTMINSTER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, JAN. 31, 2014 – An early-morning fire ripped through a three-story apartment complex, destroying all 31 suites and displacing nearly 40 people. More than 40 firefighters from New Westminster and the neighboring cities of Burnaby and Delta responded. No injuries were reported.

NEW ORLEANS, LA, JAN. 9, 2014 – Firefighters fought a two-alarm fire involving the rear of a vacant “camelback” dwelling (one-story in the front and two stories in the rear). Six engines, two ladders, a rescue squad and three chiefs responded to the mid-afternoon blaze. The fire was contained to the original fire building.

PATERSON, NJ, FEB. 5, 2014 – A general-alarm fire ripped though a large, three-story, L-shape mill. Battalion 1 requested a second alarm on arrival. Fire spread through the top floor and dropped to involve the entire structure. Tower ladders, ladder pipes, deck guns and heavy streams were set up after an initial interior was changed to a defensive operation. Companies from Bergen and Passaic counties responded to operate at the scene or cover empty fire stations. Half the building was fully involved in 30 minutes. The fire took three hours to control.

LOS ANGELES, CA, JAN. 24, 2014 – First-in units from Station 91 responded to a structure fire in Pacoima involving a large garage located at a golf course. The garage was loaded with golf carts. The fire was knocked down in 30 minutes.
