Photos: 4-Alarm Baltimore Fire Takes 12 Hours to Put Out

Baltimore City and County firefighters, as well as crews from Anne Arundel and Howard counties, spent Thursday night and early Friday battling the warehouse blaze.

A four-alarm fire broke out at an abandoned mattress warehouse in the Oldtown neighborhood in Baltimore city Thursday night.

Firefighters from Baltimore City were assisted by fire departments from Anne Arundel, Howard and Baltimore counties. The fire was reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Madison St. near Stirling Street.

The fire was brought under control by 9 a.m. Friday, taking more than 12 hours to extinguish.
