A California firefighter was injured during an electrical fire by a Christmas tree at a home early Tuesday.
The fire started just after 3:30 a.m. at a single-family house in San Jose, the East Bay Times reports. Flames spread from the main story to the attic, with a poorly watered Christmas tree providing fuel.
A firefighter was taken to the hospital after battling the flames, but details concerning the extent of the injuries weren't known. A civilian also was injured and treated at the scene, while four residents and a dog were able to escape the burning house safely.
Crews worked for nearly two hours to get the flames under control, the Times added.
