Driver Killed after Slamming into PA Residence

A driver was killed after crashing completely through an outer wall and setting a Lancaster County home on fire Wednesday night.

One person was killed after a crash into a Lancaster County home Wednesday evening, according to police.

Susquehanna Regional police said the vehicle crashed in the 100 block of Kissel Barrick Road in Conoy Township.

Previous reports say the crash happened shortly after 6 p.m.

After the crash, the three-story house caught fire, police said. No one was home at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car, identified as a male but age not provided, is the only confirmed death in the crash, police said. The person’s identification is pending.

No other injuries were reported by police.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office is at the scene.

Bainbridge Road is closed between Risser Mill Road and Meadow View Lane, police said.

When firefighters arrived, there was heavy fire in the attic, LancasterOnline reported from dispatch reports.

Crews from around the region responded to the fire, including Middletown Volunteer Fire Company.
