Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue battled a two-alarm fire that leveled a commercial building in Newberg.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) crews battled a fully involved commercial building fire in Newberg early Monday morning that rose to two-alarms.

Tualatin Valley firefighters were called to the fire around 2:30 a.m., First-arriving crews found a single-story structure fully engulfed in flames, according to a press release from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.

Crews began aggressive fire control operations to keep the flames contained to the one structure, preventing any spread to other nearby facilities.

Due to the significance of the fire and rapid spread throughout the large commercial building, the incident was upgraded to a second alarm, adding more resources from TVF&R and several neighboring mutual aid fire departments.

Fire crews battled the fire for approximately two hours to bring the fire under control.
