Four Connecticut firefighters were hurt battling a fatal two-alarm house fire early Sunday.
The New Haven firefighters suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation in the blaze, which killed two people, WTNH-TV reports. One person also was hurt after jumping from the second floor of the house.
Crews responded to the blaze just before 3:30 a.m. after receiving calls of people trapped inside. Two people were rescued from a back stairway in the house, and two other people escaped by leaping from windows.
Psychological evaluations will be given to the responding firefighters because of the trauma involved, officials told WTNH.
