It took about 50 Rochester firefighters around a half hour to extinguish the blaze that broke out at a multi-family house Saturday, displacing four residents.

Two New York firefighters were injured in a two-alarm blaze that tore through a multi-family house Saturday.

The fire broke out shortly before 1:30 p.m. at a residence on Dakota Street in Rochester, the department said in an online update. About 50 firefighters responded to the call, and the size of the home, as well as the size of the fire and its proximity to other buildings led to a second alarm, WROC-TV reports.

Although no one was inside the house at the time of the fire, one resident was taken to the hospital with a cardiac condition. Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries.

Crews had the fire under control in about half an hour. Four residents were displaced by the blaze.
