D.C. Fire and EMS crews battled a fire at the popular Sign of the Whale Bar near Dupont Circle Wednesday afternoon.
When crews arrived, smoke was showing from the roof of the two-story bar on the 1800 block of M Street NW.
Fire officials told NBC Washington that they were able to contain the fire before is spread to adjacent buildings.
No injuries were reported.
