Man Killed in Montville, CT, House Fire

A partial collapse had occurred by the time Montville firefighters arrived early Friday.

A Montville man in his 80s died when fire destroyed his house early Friday. 

A partial collapse had occurred by the time firefighters arrived about 3:20 a.m.

Due to conditions, firefighters launched an exterior attack.

The victim's body was located in the rubble after the fire was extinguished, according to WTNH.

The cause remains under investigation.
