During this years’ INTERSCHUTZ exhibition - from 8-13 June 2015 in Hannover, Germany - we will organize a special edition of our Holmatro Rescue Experience: The 35,000 Euro Extrication Challenge. This international event is supported by the INTERSCHUTZ organisation (Deutsche Messe) and will be hosted outside on the exhibition ground, in an area of 1500 m2.
Holmatro invites extrication teams from all over the world to sign up for this challenge and to show their skills in realistic vehicle extrication scenarios. They will have the opportunity to work on brand new vehicles. The three winning teams will be rewarded with prizes worth € 35,000 in total.
About the event
This Rescue Experience will be an exciting mix of competition and entertainment on all six days of the world’s leading rescue exhibition in Germany, INTERSCHUTZ 2015. The 35,000 Euro Extrication Challenge is open to rescue teams from all over the world, consisting of six members each. One team after another will be challenged to respond to a unique 20-minute vehicle extrication scenario using Holmatro rescue equipment. All cars will be brand new. It will be a unique opportunity for rescuers who will be able to practice their skills on the latest vehicle models. Before getting hands-on with their scenario, each team will receive a Holmatro Rescue Equipment Familiarisation Training by Holmatro instructors, including a Masterclass on Practical Cutting Techniques.
Professional Organization
Holmatro’s own Rescue Consultant, Ian Dunbar, is responsible for the overall organization and set-up of the various extrication scenarios. A group of experienced international assessors from Australia, England, Germany and Ireland will supervise each scenario and determine the winners. Contestants will be judged on their performance in command and on their medical and technical skills. Judging criteria include use of the Team Approach, use of rescue techniques, medical assessment, victim handling, on-scene communication and general performance. And last but not least, the overall team spirit will also be rewarded!
