A Louisville man was arrested after he allegedly threatened a firefighter when he was asked to evacuate the area of the Marshall Fire.
Stephen Roch, 24, was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony menacing, obstructing a peace officer, obstructing government operations, eluding and third-degree criminal trespassing, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.
In the affidavit, a firefighter advised Roch he was in an area under mandatory evacuation and asked Roch to leave.
Roch allegedly told the firefighter he would need to “take him out” and advised the firefighter he had an AR-15 rifle.
When police arrived, Roch got into a vehicle and left the area. Police were able to stop Roch and bring him into custody.
During a search of Roch’s vehicle, officers located a loaded AR-15 with 2,000 rounds of ammunition and a loaded 9mm handgun.
The Marshall Fire, which was first reported Thursday, destroyed, or damaged more than 1,100 properties in Superior, Louisville, and parts of Boulder County.
Two people remain missing.
