Man Dies Following Collision with MI Fire Apparatus

One person is dead and another was seriously injured after crashing into a parked fire truck in Highland Park.

A  man is dead after he crashed his vehicle into a parked Highland Park apparatus late Saturday night.

The 57-year-old driver of a Ford Explorer was killed after he slammed into the rear of a Highland Park fire truck that was assisting motorist on  Davison Freeway.

Officials told Click on Detroit that the driver of the vehicle had to be cut out of the vehicle by firefighters.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger from the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
