Injured Baltimore Firefighter Upgraded to Fair Condition
The Baltimore firefighter who was critically injured at Monday’s fire and collapse has been upgraded to fair condition.
Baltimore EMT/firefighter John McMaster was pulled from the South Stricker Street rowhome following a collapse that claimed the lives of three Baltimore firefighters.
"While he has a long way to go, I am incredibly optimistic, and we will continue to pray for and support EMT/FF McMaster and his family during his time of recovery," Chief Niles R. Ford said in a statement.
The three firefighters were later identified as Lt. Paul Butrim, firefighter/paramedic Kelsey Sadler and EMT/firefighter Kenny Lacayo.
A GoFundMe account has been started to help their families offset funeral/memorial, medical, and other expenses resulting from this tragic event.
