Fire Police Member Struck on PA Interstate

A fire police member from the Frystown Fire Company was struck at an accident on Interstate 78 during a snow storm.

A member of the Frystown Fire Company was struck on Interstate 78 in Berks County Saturday.

There was several accidents along the interstate as a snow storm passed through the state in the morning. 

"One of our local fire police men got hit today please pray for a speedy recovery," the Frysburg Fire Company posted on Facebook.

According to the Reading Eagle, there was a 15 vehicle wreck in Bethel Township involving a rollover and two tractor trailers. The newspaper stated that there were injuries but it has not been confirmed that this is where the fire company member was injured. 

Interstate 78 was closed most of the day, according to the newspaper.
