LA Fire Captain Dies After Suffering Medical Emergency on Duty

A Baton Rouge captain died on Saturday, Dec. 17, while on duty.

Capt. Walker L. Hill died after suffering a medical emergency, according to fire officials. 

On Monday at 10 a.m., firefighters will escort Hill and the route will take it along Essen to I-12 to Airline, and finally, Airline to Jefferson Highway. Civilians are asked to pay their respects to Hill as the procession passes.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 at Istrouma Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at noon.
