Watertown, NY, Firefighter Struck by Ambulance

A report indicates the Watertown firefighter was pinned against a vehicle after being struck by an ambulance.

A firefighter was injured Friday night after being struck by an ambulance that was pulling up to a crash scene in Watertown.

Fire officials told WWNY that firefighters responded to a minor crash at Paddock and Washington streets when the incident unfolded. 

The firefighter was working the crash scene he was struck from behind by the ambulance.

According to NNY360.com, the firefighter was pinned against a vehicle in the crash.

Police are conducting an investigation to determine what happened.

The firefighter was transported to Samaritan Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
