Designed with a transparent front façade that showcases the engines and trucks, Fire Station 2 expresses the department’s open and welcoming attitude toward the community. Woven into the modern façade are sections of traditional brick that recall fire stations of past eras.

The three-bay, 10,300-sq.-ft. station houses eight firefighters and includes a meeting room that can be accessed independently by the community. Each dormitory room has a small anteroom that enables incoming shifts to access their lockers without disturbing the prior shift. The station’s dayroom and exercise room front a large outdoor patio that’s adjacent to the rear apron of the station.
