Orchard Park Fire District, which protects approximately 30,000 residents and key areas including the home of the Buffalo Bills, will use FLORIAN to support their emergency response. It also offers 3D and satellite mapping, real-time tracking of personnel and resources, voice control and transcription, and instant media sharing. OPFD had the opportunity to test FLORIAN after winning a three-month trial at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Indianapolis last year. Including FLORIAN’s Automated Personnel Location (APL), which enables the incident commander to instantly locate any member of personnel in real-time and track their route. OPFD noted this was especially useful during Buffalo Bills games.
