Man Dies after Rear-Ending MD Ambulance
A driver was killed after they rear-ended a Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services ambulance Sunday night.
The ambulance was in the right turn lane of Washington Boulevard at Country Meadows Lane in Laurel with its rear amber warning lights activated, according to a release from the Howard County Police Department.
Police said the driver 36-year-old male driver, a resident of Laurel, was the only occupant of the Hyundi Sonata.
He was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was prounounced dead.
The two-person Howard County ambulance crew was transported to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
