Fire crews from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport were called to assist a pregnant mother who went into labor on a flight from Mexico to Atlanta.
Atlanta firefighter Juanetta Nash told CBS46 “The airplane was coming in exceedingly fast, faster than normal, so we knew it was an emergency, we knew people were nervous.”
When firefighters boarded the aircraft, they were able to assist the mother who was already under the care of a nurse aboard the flight. Nash and fellow firefighters assisted the mother through the delivery process, and she gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
