The Fire Department of New York is once again promoting EMS Week with its annual public service announcements.
This year, the FDNY developed posters that feature a mosaic of approximately 500 photos of FDNY EMS members arranged in the shape of the Star of Life, the symbol of the Emergency Medical Service, and the slogan: “1.2 million calls, one mission.”
The posters, officially being unveiled Tuesday, May 11, are intended to raise awareness about the life-saving skills of FDNY EMS members. They will be displayed in approximately 350 telephone kiosks throughout the city.
EMS Week 2010 begins across the country on Sunday, May 16.
