FDNY Unveils EMS Week 2010 Posters

The Fire Department of New York is once again promoting EMS Week with its annual public service announcements. This year, the FDNY developed posters that feature a mosaic of approximately 500 photos of FDNY EMS members arranged in the shape of the Star of Life, the symbol of the Emergency Medical Service, and the slogan: “1.2 million calls, one mission.” The posters, officially being unveiled Tuesday, May 11, are intended to raise awareness about the life-saving skills of FDNY EMS members.

They will be displayed in approximately 350 telephone kiosks throughout the city. EMS Week 2010 begins across the country on Sunday, May 16.
