Pricey Artwork Destroyed in D.C. Blaze

Investigators are trying to find out what sparked a house fire in Georgetown that damaged some pricey artwork.

Flames broke out at a large, multi-story home Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of P Street in Northwest.

Firefighters said the blaze started on the roof and quickly spread through the rest of the house. Officials said work crews had been there at the time.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

The damaged artwork is said to be worth several hundred thousand dollars.
