Two rowhouse fires along the same street spread and joined together Monday afternoon in east Baltimore.
Fire officials said the first fire started around 3:10 p.m. and involved nine buildings in the 300 block of East 20th Street. They said the second started about 40 minutes later and spread to three more buildings.
Spokesman Kevin Cartwright told 11 News that there were reports of explosions, but those reports were not confirmed. Several of the buildings that caught fire were being remodeled and were not occupied.
There are no reports of injuries.
