He was standing inside the fire station, and suddenly felt a sharp pain.
A Dallas firefighter was back home Saturday night, after being shot in a drive-by shooting. The shooting happened at about 9:30 p.m. Friday at Fire Station 16 on Chalk Hill Road. Investigators said the firefighter was standing inside, when he heard gunshots and felt a sharp pain in his right arm. "We often answer calls of shootings and dangerous shootings, so it's kind of inherent in the job, but it's different when it impacts you," Battalion Chief Eddie Jones said. Police did not have a suspect in custody.
