The firefighter was found quickly and transported to for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Investigators were checking whether a lightning strike started a fire in a Hilltop home shortly before 8 this morning.

A firefighter was missing for a brief period, prompting a second alarm. He was quickly found and transported to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, Battalion Chief Shawn Koser said.

The lone occupant of the home at 211 Eldon Ave. was awakened by a smoke alarm and fled the house unharmed, Koser said.

The fire started in the attic.  Around 30 firefighters responded to the blaze, which heavily damaged the home.
