Apply for Drinking Water to Keep Volunteer Firefighters Hydrated During Wildfires and Emergency Response
Proper hydration is critical to the health and safety of firefighters when responding to wildfires and other emergencies. Yet many volunteer fire departments have limited budgets, forcing them to choose between needed resources. To help combat this issue and free up department funds for other necessities, Anheuser-Busch is partnering with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) for the seventh consecutive year to donate emergency drinking water to volunteer fire departments across the country.
Through the Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters program, Anheuser-Busch continues its longstanding commitment to providing support for disaster relief and preparedness efforts in communities across the country. In 2025, the program will donate 1.5 million cans of emergency drinking water to help prepare local volunteer firefighters with vital resources ahead of the annual summer wildfire season, rather than waiting until after disaster strikes. Since the partnership with the NVFC began in 2019, over 10.4 million cans of water have been distributed to over 3,100 departments across almost all 50 states.
The 2025 application period is open from March 10-16. To be eligible to apply for the chance to receive one pallet of canned drinking water, departments must be located in the U.S., annually respond to wildfires, be over 50 percent volunteer, serve a population of 25,000 or less, and demonstrate a need for the water.
