A man was taken into custody early Tuesday after stealing a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance and leading police on a brief chase.

The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. when a man drove off with a department ambulance from Baylor Scott & White Health medical center, KXAS-TV reports. Authorities then pursued the ambulance along Interstate 30 for around 10 minutes.

Eventually, Dallas County sheriff's deputies apprehended the driver near the MacArthur exit ramp. The ambulance was returned to the hospital, but no details were given concerning the man's identity or what charges he faces following the incident.

Last year, a woman was accused of stealing an ambulance from a Dallas Fire-Rescue station. The rig was taken from Station 53 in the city's Eastwood Hills neighborhood in early February, and Louisiana State Police tracked it to Bossier CIty, where it was recovered.
