A Georgia county apparatus was seriously damaged after it caught fire following a call Monday.
Macon-Bibb County firefighters were returning from a fire when the incident happened, WMAZ-TV reports. They heard a loud noise from the engine, and the driver pulled the apparatus onto the shoulder.
Just as the vehicle made it to the shoulder, it became engulfed in flames. The firefighters in the apparatus were able to escape without injury, and crews put out the flames.
