VA EMT Killed in Ambulance, Dump Truck Crash in King and Queen County
The Virginia EMT was killed in a crash with a dump truck Thursday in King and Queen County.
Virginia State Police reported the truck was stopped in the median waiting for traffic to clear. About three feet of the truck was sticking out in the road. The AMR ambulance hit the left side rear corner panel.
After the collision, the ambulance overturned in the median, according to WWBT.
EMT Jacob Bozeman, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene while Paramedic Christopher Mack was transported for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver also was transported.
The ambulance did not have a patient aboard when the collision occurred.
Bozeman recently joined Tappahanock Essex Volunteer Fire Department. He was slated to begin the firefighter training academy next month.
The investigation is continuing.
